Probe launched against Madurai health officer for abuse of docs

The Health department has launched an inquiry against Madurai District Health Officer Dr P Kumaraguruparan who had allegedly verbally abused the doctors deployed in PHC's across Madurai for the past several months.
Speaking to TNIE, a PHC doctor said, "Dr P Kumaraguruparan used to hurl abuses against us. Many women doctors are very upset over the issue. Unable to face the harsh behaviour of the top office, we initiated a complaint with the Director of Public Health on May 17. An inquiry was conducted on May 24 by a team of officials.
