AT the time when distribution of freebies is being scrutinised for its impact on national economy, Jharkhand's annual spending estimates on "freebies" for FY 2025-26 surpasses budget allocation for all other departments including health, education and rural sector.
Finance minister Radha Krishna Kishore on Monday tabled the annual Budget of ₹1,45,400 crore for FY 2025-26 in the Assembly, about 13% more than the last year.
The state government made a significant allocation for the 'Mukhyamantri Maiyan Samman Yojna' (JMMSY) and free electricity scheme.
