Govt Revises Timeline for Admission to Private Schools Under EWS Quota

THE state government has revised the admission timeline for students belonging to the economically weaker sections (EWS) in private schools under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RCFCE) Act, for the 2025-26 academic year.
As per the latest schedule released by the directorate of elementary education, the first round of student registration that was supposed to commence from March first week will now start on April 3 and continue till April 20.
The physical verification of applications by the block education officers (BEOs) will take place from April 3 to April 23.
