Fintech sector witnesses 5% decline in funding to $889 mn in first half of 2025

THE fintech sector has witnessed a temporary dip in funding in the first six months of 2025 as the sector raised $889 million in January-June (H1) 2025, a 5% decline from $936 million in the year-ago period and a 26% decline compared to $1.2 billion in H2 2024.
Fintech companies in the country saw 16 acquisitions in H1 2025, compared to 11 acquisitions in the year-ago period, according to Tracxn data.
