Adani overtakes Ambani to become Asia’s richest person as stocks surge

ADANI Group chairman Gautam Adani has overtaken Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, to become India’s and Asia’s richest person on the back of sharp surge in the shares of his listed entities.
With a net worth of $92.6 billion, Adani surpassed Ambani, whose fortune stands at $90.8 billion, according to the latest billionaire rankings.
Adani, who heads the port-topower conglomerate and has business interest in cement and real estate, is currently ranked Number 19 on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which tracks the world’s 500 richest individuals and is updated daily.
