In a 1st, India to co-chair ASEAN defence ministers' meeting on counter-terror

INDIA and Malaysia will co-chair the 14th meeting of the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) Experts Working Group (EWG) on Counter-Terrorism scheduled to be held in New Delhi on March 19 and 20.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Sunday said, "India will co-chair the EWG on Counter-Terrorism for the first time. On March 19, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh will deliver the keynote address during the opening ceremony."

The meeting will lay the foundation for the activities, seminars, exercises and workshops planned for the cycle 2024-2027.
