At NIA meet, home minister bats for national platform where different agencies share ideas
UNION Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday inaugurated a two-day Counter-Terrorism Conference organised by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), as he said that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity and everyone must work together to defeat it.
He went on to add that such a conference acts as a national platform where different agencies share ideas and strategies to prepare effective plans to eliminate terrorism.
The minister, during the inaugural session, also unveiled the NIA's updated crime manual - Organised Crime Network Database and Lost/Looted and Recovered Weapon Database.
In his address, the Home Minister said, "Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'zero tolerance' against terrorism, this annual conference has become a platform to deal with emerging threats."
