Vigilance dept arrests tehsildar for taking bribe

Tehsildar Suresh Chandra Bose was arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on Saturday midnight while accepting a bribe of ₹3,000 for renewing a firecracker shop's license.
KANNUR
The arrest was carried out by Kannur Vigilance DySP Suresh Babu and his team at Suresh Chandra Bose's residence in Kalliassery. According to the complainant, despite submitting all required documents, Suresh Chandra Bose refused to renew the license and later demanded a bribe.
