Cross-border action thriller draws from senior Delhi journalist's book

WRITER-director duo Nandita and Shiboprasad return with Raktabeej 2, which focuses on a high-stakes investigation into cross-border terrorism led by a new terrorist leader, Munir Alam. It is partly inspired by the book Pranab Mukharjee — Raajniti o Kutniti, written by Gautam Lahiri, a senior Delhi journalist and president of the Press Club of India.
The second edition of the action thriller Raktabeej (it means seeds of blood in Bangla), is being screened in Delhi at present. The plot, a blend of fact and fiction, unfolds in the backdrop of Bangladesh's student protest, an attempt to sabotage neighbourly ties and its foiling, with the ultimate aim to oust the Bangladesh president from power. It stars Bengali matinee stars Abir Chatterjee, Ankush Hazra, and Mimi Chakraborty.
