Professor says AMU dean made communal remark, varsity denies charge

A controversy has erupted at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) after a senior political science professor accused the dean of harassing her with alleged communal remarks.
Professor Rachana Kaushal has petitioned Vice-Chancellor Prof Naima Khatoon, alleging that she has faced harassment for the past 27 years due to her Hindu identity. In her complaint, submitted recently, she attached audio recordings and documents as evidence. The university administration has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
