PM’s historic landing at Assam highway airstrip

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi made a historic touchdown at a highway airstrip in Assam on Saturday.
An Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130J aircraft, which took off from the Chabua airfield carrying the Prime Minister, landed at the Emergency Landing Facility (ELF) on the Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh district.
The PM also witnessed an aerial display of fighter jets, transport aircraft and helicopters at Moran.“It is a matter of immense pride that the Northeast gets an Emergency Landing Facility. From a strategic point of view and during times of natural disasters, this facility is of great importance,” he posted on X.
