Plain filed for circulation of fake data on Karnataka socio-edu survey

SENIOR IAS officer K A Dayananda, member secretary, Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes (KSCBC), has written to police inspector of High Grounds Police Station to file a criminal case against those who are circulating on WhatsApp groups fake figures purportedly from the recently concluded socio-educational survey by the commission.
The IAS officer wrote that the commission conducted a statewide socio-educational survey from September 22, 2025, to October 31, 2025. People who did not participate in the physical survey have been given the opportunity to participate online till November 30, 2025. Accordingly, the survey work is still in progress.
