Panic grips Kedarnath pilgrims after avalanche

AN early morning avalanche on Sunday sent a small group of pilgrims gathered at Kedarnath temple scurrying for cover.

The heavy rush of snow, rocks and water from the mountains, visible from a distance, suddenly halted after plunging into a ravine, around 4 km from the shrine, reports said.
