Net direct tax collections fall by 1.4% in Q1 to ₹4.59L cr; gross revenue up slightly

NET direct tax collection in the first quarter (till June 19, 2025) of FY26 has contracted by -1.39% as against the corresponding period last year.
Even the gross tax collections during the period showed a moderate growth.
