Many households miss out on Ujjwala

A significant number of eligible poor households are yet to benefit from the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), says a standing committee report on petroleum and natural gas.
The report tabled on Friday urged the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to work together to identify and enroll those who are still left out of the scheme. This includes making arrangements to cover beneficiaries in remote areas with low mobile network coverage.
