IOB PROFIT ALL-TIME HIGH AT ₹1,365 CRORE

PUBLIC sector Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) on Wednesday reported an all-time high net profit of ₹1,365 crore, up 56.18% YoY in Q8FY26, driven by rise in interest income and recovery of nonperforming assets (NPAs).

The bank reported ₹874 crore in Q3FY25. Ajay Kumar Srivasta-va, CEO & MD at IOB said the bank is planning to raise ₹4,000 crore from markets through QIP in the coming months, reducing the Centre’s stake in it to nearly 4% if fully subscribed.
