ON Monday, Gujarat bid adieu to former chief minister Vijay Rupani, who perished in the June 12 plane crash in Ahmedabad's Meghaninagar area.
ON Monday, Gujarat bid adieu to former chief minister Vijay Rupani, who perished in the June 12 plane crash in Ahmedabad's Meghaninagar area. His mortal remains were laid to rest in Rajkot with full state honours.
Rupani, seated in 2D aboard the ill-fated London-bound AI-171 flight, was confirmed dead after a DNA match identified him nearly 70 hours post-crash. The authorities had waited for official verification of his identity before handing over his remains to his family on Monday morning.
