Forces' efforts bear fruit, terror attacks decline in J&K, suggests MHA data

THROUGH well-coordinated efforts by the combined forces against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly following the Central government's decision to revoke the provisions of Article 370, the overall security situation in the Union Territory has seen significant improvement, according to official data.

Last year, the UT witnessed only 46 terror incidents. This is in stark contrast to the 153 terror attacks recorded in 2019.
According to data compiled by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, there were 125 incidents of terror attacks reported in 2022, compared to 129 in 2021 and 126 in 2020.
