Federal Bank net profit falls 15% as credit cost increases

THE Kochi-based private sector lender Federal Bank has reported a 14.7% year-on-year dip in its net income at ₹861.75 crore in the June quarter, down from ₹1,010 crore a year ago, driven down by rising credit cost in the microfinance and agri books.
Sequentially, the numbers are worse with net falling by 16.31%.
