Ex-PM's son in BJP list of 11 candidates, Kher dropped

THE BJP on Wednesday released its 10th list of candidates for 11 Lok Sabha seats, including the high-profile Asansol seat in West Bengal and Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.
The party has kept the winnability factor and caste equations in mind and fielded Neeraj Shekhar, the son of former PM Chandrashekhar, from Balia and sitting MP SS Ahluwalia from Asansol against TMC's Shatrughan Sinha.
Ahluwalia represents Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat in West Bengal in the 17th Lok Sabha. Out of 9 Lok Sabha seats, 7 are in UP, 1 each in Chandigarh and West Bengal.
In the list of seven candidates released for UP on Wednesday, the BJP snubbed three more sitting MPs from Ballia, Allahabad and Phulpur while introducing a new face in Ghazipur to take on SP's Afzal Ansari.

In 2018, Raipur brothers Akash and Ashish Agrawalla founded ZOFF Foods—short for “Zone of Fresh Foods”—with a bold idea: revive the forgotten aroma of Indian spices using zero-human-touch processing and cool grinding technology. Early skeptics were silenced when a Delhi retailer toured their fully automated, dust-free plant and came away impressed. ZOFF now employs a workforce that is 70 per cent from Chhattisgarh, with senior leaders choosing Raipur over metro cities. Running a business from a Tier II city, CEO Akash admits, has its hurdles—limited packaging vendors, testing labs, and slower freight timelines—but the benefits are clear: lower costs, access to fresh raw materials, and a community that celebrates their growth as its own.
