INDIA’ engineering goods exporters are seeking faster implementation of the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) as export performance continues to weaken — and US tariffs are not the sole driver of the decline.
Engineering goods exports fell 16.71% year-on-year in October 2025 to $9.37 billion, according to data compiled by the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India). While the significant drop in shipments to the US contributed the most, several other key markets also recorded negative growth. Exports to the ASEAN region declined nearly 50% to $1.02 billion.
