Delhi pacer Rana celebrates India call-up with four-fer against Assam

PACER Harshit Rana celebrated his Test call-up for the Australia tour by taking four wickets against Assam, who finished day one with 264/6 on board, in the Ranji Trophy clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Saturday.

After opting to field first, Rana led the way for Delhi, running through Assam's top order. Sumit Ghadigaonkar hit an unbeaten century (120 batting) to keep Assam alive, but Rana dismissed Swarupam Purkayastha for seven, finishing the day with 4/62.
Opener Ayush Pandey with his maiden First Class hundred (124;184b, 19x4) to set the platform as Chhattisgarh posted a challenging 293/2 in 90 overs against Tamil Nadu on the opening day in Coimbatore on Saturday. The left-handed opening pair of Ayush and Rishabh Tiwari (46) complimented each other and added 124 runs in 39 overs for the first wicket to give a good start.
