BPF stakes claim to form govt in Bodoland Council, to invite Sarma for oath

A delegation of Bodoland People's Front (BPF), which swept the elections to Assam's Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati on Sunday and staked a claim to form the next government in the autonomous council.
BPF president Hagrama Mohilary, who will take over as the Chief Executive Member of the BTC, invited Acharya to attend the swearing-in ceremony, which will be held in Kokrajhar on October 3. "The Governor has assured us of his presence," the BPF chief said after meeting Acharya.
