Army set to get new deputy chief, 4 corps commanders

THE Indian Army is slated to witness a change of command at senior levels in June, which includes four new officers assuming the charge of the Corps as the General Officers Commanding (GOCs).
The force will get a new Deputy Chief (Information System and Coordination), as Lieutenant General Rakesh Kapoor currently the Commander in Chief of the Jodhpur-based XII Corps, will assume charge next month. He will be replaced by Major General Mohit Malhotra, currently posted as the Additional DG Public Information. The Army has three Deputy Chiefs. Major General Mohit Malhotra and three other officers have been confirmed to be promoted as the Lt Gens on Monday and they will be assuming the command of their respective corps on June 9.
