THE Boeing 707 Dreamliner suddenly becomes the Boeing 707 Nightmare-liner.
The Air India crash on take-off from Ahmedabad for Gatwick, in England, is suddenly added to the almost daily horrors of Gaza and the Ukraine.
How much more can we take? Is there anything more grisly than an air crash on take-off where the plane ends up crashing into young doctors’ residences while they're having lunch?
There’ an inquiry, of course, which means we are likely to be bombarded with grisly reminders for some time to come. The anguish ain't over just yet.
And I'm talking about we outsiders. For those who lost family or friends in this disaster, it's unimaginable.
May we be spared any discovery that this disaster/tragedy was some sort of political machination. I’m sure it was not ... but these days there are so many baddies out there you can never be completely sure of anything.
