Wraparound support to continue despite school building closing

A NORTHUMBERLAND primary school will continue to operate wraparound care for pupils despite the building being forced to close because of safety concerns.

Mowbray Primary School in Stakeford did not reopen its doors after the Christmas holidays after cracks were discovered in the building.
The students will be educated at a number of separate sites for the time being while a temporary site is set up at Foundry House in Bedlington.
School leaders have now also confirmed that wraparound care-child-care for primary pupils before and after school for working parents will continue.
The Church of the Holy Family on Stakeford Lane has been secured as a venue. Staff will also support students to access transport to their respective temporary sites and to return to the church after school.
