'We will walk away if the deal isn't right'

EDDIE Howe has admitted that Newcastle United will continue to walk away from transfer deals if the money isn’t right.

The Magpies have missed out on a number of key targets already this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of a big campaign which will see them compete in the Champions League again.

Howe is desperate to bring extra bodies and quality into his group of players, but has been frustrated by seeing a host of signings slip from United’s grasp.

This summer, Newcastle have missed out on Liam Delap, Bryan Mbeumo, James Trafford, Hugo Ekitike and Joao Pedro after seeing Chelsea, Man City and Man United all offer more money both in terms of transfer fees and salaries for the players.
