Sunderland could go out with a whimper, says former Cats star

OUTSPOKEN former Sunderland striker Marco Gabbiadini has warned that the club's season could end up going flat.

Never one to shy away from an opinion, the 57-year-old has suggested the Black Cats’ Championship campaign could end “with a whimper" if they don't find a way of lifting their level of performance.
Four straight league defeats and just one goal scored in that time has left fans and commentators wondering how Regis Le Bris will lift his men for when it really matters in the play-offs. Rotating his squad has accounted for some of the drop off but even so, the 2-0 defeat at Oxford United was particularly toothless with many of the big names back.
