Students to play against type in one-off ‘Miscast’

NEWCASTLE students are preparing to take to the stage for a ‘one-night-only’ performance alongside international stars of musical theatre.
West End actor Adam Strong rehearses with the students of the Northern School of Musical Theatre
The students will today star in Miscast, dubbed “musical theatre but not as we know it’.
Conceived and directed by Mark Hedges - the associate director behind the likes of huge UK tours The Bodyguard and Mary Poppins - 23 students from the BTEC Musical Theatre and Intensive Musical Theatre, Higher Educational and Industry Prep courses at the Northern School of Musical Theatre will be joining an all-star cast performing songs from roles in which they wouldn’t traditionally be cast.
