A SERIAL thief who caused almost £6,000 of damage breaking into a Tyneside school has been jailed.
-
Lee Hetherington was already on bail and subject to a suspended prison sentence when he broke into Cardinal Hume Catholic School, in Gateshead, in the early hours of January 13 this year.
CCTV showed him using a tool to break in and he then broke the glass in another door and caused further damage.
Once inside, he helped himself to food, drink and a gilet.
