'Least expensive' UK coastal town

A 'CHARMING' Northumberland seaside town has been named the least expensive coastal location in England and Wales.
The average house price in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea stood at around £132,863 in 2024, which puts it at the top of the national list.
Both Seaham and Hartlepool also make the top 10 of the rankings, which have been put together by the bank Lloyds, as part of its Coastal Homes Review.
On the other side of the coin, Sandbanks in Dorset has been identified as Britain's most expensive seaside location, with the average house price sitting at £965,708 last year.
