Joint effort secures boat in storm

A NORTHUMBERLAND lifeboat was launched amid Storm Amy to reports of an adrift inflatable boat.

Seahouses RNLI all-weather lifeboat, The John and Elizabeth Allan, launched at about 1.50pm on Sunday following a request from Humber Coastguard.
Initial reports indicated a small rigid inflatable boat was drifting in the channel towards Ross Sands. The volunteer crew were tasked to find the vessel and confirm if anyone was on board.
