Jail for man who smashed into bank during riots

A BATHROOM fitter who smashed his way into a bank with a scaffolding pole during a riot has been jailed.
Dane Peace was drunk when he joined in with the scenes that blighted Sunderland city centre on August 2 last year. CCTV showed Peace confronting police outside Aldi and throwing missiles at them outside The Yard building.
He kicked and threw metal beer kegs at the ground floor window of that building. He also broke into a NatWest bank after striking the main front window with a scaffolding pole and kicking it to smash his way in.
