Fundraising in tribute to sufferer has new goal

Janine Turnbull

Janine Turnbull was laid to rest in August, with mourners filling St Alban’s Church in Earsdon and the neighbouring village hall.

A community figure and former police officer, Janine’s family and friends have raised more than £45,000 to fund research into a cure for motor neurone disease (MND), while another £17,000 was raised for essential adaptations to the family home.

Now, the family want to hit £50,000 with more events like the Whitley Wander.

Janine’s sister, Nicole Brown, says she will keep fundraising for an MND cure until there is one. She told The Journal: “People shouldn't have to go through the horror that Janine went through.
