Ex-officer jailed for controlling behaviour

AN ex-Northumbria Police officer will face misconduct proceedings after being jailed for controlling behaviour.
-
Joshua Davison resigned from the force when criminal proceedings began.
The 29-year-old was sentenced to 16 months in prison earlier this month for a charge of controlling behaviour.
A charge of strangulation was ordered to lie on file.
Davison, of Pelton Fell, Chester-le-Street, appeared at Teesside Crown Court for sentence on Friday, January 16.
