An accelerator scheme for North East companies working in the digital screen sector has been announced by the BBC and a sector body.
The Digital Accelerator is a partnership between the BBC and North East Screen which it is hoped will grow and strengthen the region's digital production sector.
The programme aims to fast-track the growth of digital-first content companies in the North East, combining direct investment with mentoring and skills development to unlock long-term creative and commercial potential.
A total of £600,000 of funding is available from the programme, with up to four independent production companies selected to take part.
