WHATEVER happens against Paris Saint-Germain this week, Newcastle United will progress into the knockout stages of this season's Champions League.

The Magpies already have enough points to ensure they are in the playoff round of the competition, with a win in France meaning they will claim a top-eight place and a spot in the last-16.
Should United finish outside the top eight, they will be in the draw for the playoff round, which takes place this week. Here's all you need to know.

The draw will take place on Friday, January 30, starting at 11am, at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
