COLD WEATHER WARNING FOR NORTH EAST

THE UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued cold weather health warnings as temperatures drop across the UK.

The North East is included in this warning, as temperatures are expected to plummet in the next week.

The warning period began last night (December 31 2025) at 8pm, and lasts until next Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 10am.

All areas of England are under the amber warning, listed at a 12 on the risk index. This means that there is a 60-89% chance of a medium impact.
