ANGUS Long (yet again) writes a misinformed column on climate change and (yet again) wrongly asserts that the film, An Inconvenient Truth, predicts “the North Pole will have completely melted by 2018” (The Journal, January 1).

May I politely request that Mr Long watch the film or read the script, which is available online, so he doesn’t make this ‘convenient’ falsehood in future writings?
