£75m plan to replace eyesore

ONE of Newcastle city centre's most prominent eyesore buildings could be redeveloped in a scheme that would also bring benefit to the city's football faithful.

Developers Hanro Group have submitted plans to redevelop the Percy House building on the corner of Percy Street and Gallowgate, along with the city's former Labour club on Leazes Park Road.
