The look might seem uninspired at first glance, but fashion insiders argue that its charm lies in its authenticity and subtle rebellion against fast fashion's obsession with perfection.

"Dad style is about functionality and comfort, but it's also about confidence," explains Erica Monroe, a fashion historian based in New York. "It says, 'I'm not trying too hard.' Ironically, that's exactly what makes it stylish right now."
