Passenger plane carrying 49 people crashes in Russia's Far East

A Russian passenger plane carrying 49 people has crashed near the remote town of Tynda in the country’s Far East, with no survivors found so far as rescue teams continue to scour the mountainous crash site. AZ News has reported.

The flight, operated by Angara Airlines and based in Siberia, disappeared from radar on Thursday while approaching its destination of Tynda, a remote town in the Amur region near the Chinese border.
Emergency services told state news agency RIA Novosti that an aerial search of the An-24 crash site revealed no survivors, though ground crews continue to search the area in the hope of finding signs of life.
The burning wreckage was found about 15km (9 miles) from Tynda airport, scattered across a mountainside, according to officials.
