President Anura Kumara Dissanayake initiated the Jaffna International Cricket ground project yesterday.

Sri Lanka's President Anura Kumara Dissanayake cut the ribbon on a clutch of development projects in Jaffna on Monday, with the crown jewel being a brand-new international cricket stadium in the once war-torn city.
The ground, expected to be ready by next year, has officials confident that Jaffna will host international cricket soon after completion.
