The Court of Appeal has overturned a Colombo High Court ruling that acquitted former MP and Mihin Lanka CEO Sajin Vass Gunawardena on corruption charges linked to a Rs. 883 million financial loss to the state.
A bench led by Justices Shiran Gunaratne and Amal Ranaraja issued the directive after reviewing a revision application filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
