No rubble at t'mill, council says

PROPOSALS to build 17 homes on part of a former mill site at Elland cannot go ahead, say planners.
Calderdale Council planning officers refused Elland company William Faye Ltd permission for the development at The Maltings, Halifax Road, Elland - part of the former Lockwood Mills complex.
The company had sought outline permission to build the new homes.
Planners said the introduction of up to 17 new dwellings would weigh in favour of the scheme, contributing to Calderdale’s housing land supply.
