Warning to parents: get your kids jabbed

AHEAD of the new school term, health experts have issued an urgent warning to parents as around one in five children could be at risk of life-threatening illnesses.
The most recent data reveals that nearly 19% of young children have not received their preschool booster jab, leaving them susceptible to various conditions such as whooping cough and polio.
Health professionals have also highlighted that many children are at risk of measles due to a decrease in vaccine uptake.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS have released an update urging parents to review their child’s vaccine records and catch up on any missed vaccinations with their GP practice.
