JUDGE JAILS HIM FOR HIS 'APPALLING BEHAVIOUR'
Lewis Mapstone, 34, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison
(DEVON AND CORNWALL POLICE)
A VIOLENT thug with an appalling criminal record attacked a passenger on a bus and bit him on the face, when the passenger complained to the driver of his nuisance behaviour.
Lewis Mapstone was in Saltash when he shouted at people in the street and tried the door handles on parked cars. He then boarded a local bus and continued to be rude and aggressive, making threats that he would kill someone.
When a fellow passenger grew increasingly concerned and had a word with the driver, Mapstone, 34, of no fixed address, confronted the other passenger before punching him in the face. The victim tried to defend himself by punching Mapstone back and trying to get him off the bus.
A sentencing hearing at Truro Crown Court this week heard how Mapstone was thrown off the bus, but managed to get back on before the driver could close the doors.
