A GAGGLE of the UK's top comedians will be bringing the giggles to Plymouth in 2026.

- By WILLIAM TELFORD

City-based Comical Entertainment has already booked a laughter-filled list of comic talent for the new year, including household names such as Chris McCausland, Maisie Adam and Suzi Ruffell.

And more stars are set to be added, as Comical Entertainment marks eight years of making the city chuckle.

James Maunder, who co-founded Comical Entertainment in 2018 with fellow businessman Andrew Smallridge, said: "We set out to get top comedy into Plymouth and it's been a success, agents are coming to us all the time. This will be our busiest year ever, we have more shows in 2026 and more to come. Spring 2026 is rammed and the autumn is filling up already."

The Plymouth shows are mostly held at the 398-seater Quad Theatre at Plymouth Marjon University, but Comical Entertainment also stages events at Launceston Town Hall, The Keay Theatre in St Austell, the Palace Theatre in Paignton, and sometimes at Plymouth's Woolwell Centre.

Among names Comical Entertainment has brought to Plymouth in recent times are Griff Rhys Jones, Milton Jones, Ed Byrne and Mark Steel.

So - here are the top comedy acts Comical Entertainment is already bringing to Plymouth in 2026. Shows start at 7.30pm, unless stated. For tickets and information visit www. comicalentertainment.com...

Bridget Christie brings her new Jacket Potato Pizza show to Plymouth's Quad Theatre, on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Creator and star of Channel 4's The Change, she's appeared on Taskmaster and the sitcom Ghosts. The Independent called her: "One of the brightest and best around." Bridget is also at Launceston Town Hall on January 23.

Suzi Ruffell is bringing her new tour The Juggle to the Quad Theatre, Plymouth, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. Suzi has appeared on Live at the Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Last Leg and QI.
