FROM TV AND HOLLYWOOD TO RUNNING COFFEE SHOP
A PLYMOUTH couple have swapped glamorous careers in TV and Hollywood movies to run a rustic coffee shop in the heart of the city. Jill Penfold and Justin Lord are both fitness experts with a CV containing television and film work.
But they are now running the newly-opened Millfields Coffee and Food cafe in a bijou building that was once a gardener's storeroom.
The couple started trading last month but have already carried out an entire revamp of the inside of the humble hut, making it a must-visit establishment inside the walls of Stonehouse's former Royal Navy hospital.
"It's booming," said Justin. "It's about a heritage preserved and a community revitalised, blending the site's fascinating history with modern-day convenience.
