IT HAS been a much-needed week off from the rigours of National One action this week and the Plymouth Albion boys have managed to get some rest after a massive start to the season.

Celebrations after Plymouth Albion's evening win against Birmingham Moseley

(ALMC PHOTOGRAPHY)

In my last column, I mentioned the Saturday evening match against Birmingham Moseley and, I must admit, I was a little dubious to say the least that it would be a success. I am a stickler for routine after all! But I must say, it was a brilliant evening, and I have heard nothing but fantastic feedback from supporters since. Hopefully something we can do again next season.

As we emerge from the break, we sit level third in the league, alongside Blackheath, who, incidentally we are playing this afternoon at their home ground, so it is a huge game for the lads.
